The 2024 APPIC Internship Matching Program

Eligibility

All APPIC-member internship programs that have positions available and are eligible to participate according to APPIC Policies must participate in the Match.

Internship Programs that are not members of APPIC cannot register for the Match. Training Sites must become either Full or Provisional Members of APPIC in order to register for the Match.

Registration Process

The Training Director of each eligible internship site (i.e., the person who oversees all training activities, programs and/or tracks at this training site) is sent an email with a personalized link and instructions to register the training site for the 2024 Match. If you have not received your personalized email to register your training site for the Match by August 15, 2023, please contact NMS.

The online registration process must be completed by the Training Director and can be started by clicking on the personalized link in the email sent by NMS.

As part of the registration process, the internship site must agree to abide by the terms of the Internship Site Agreement, the APPIC Match Policies, and the Schedule of Dates. The Training Director must also provide contact information for a senior official (e.g. CEO, Hospital Director, Chief Psychologist, etc.), other than the Training Director, who is responsible for ensuring the training site can enter into this contractual agreement with APPIC and will meet its financial obligation to fund internship slots.

Consult the Internship Registration Guide for step-by-step instructions for registering for the APPIC Match.

After You Register

Confirmation

After the online registration process is complete, you will receive a confirmation by email which includes the Match Code Number(s) and description(s) for each program registered for the Match.

You should provide each Match Code Number assigned to your training site to your applicants, as the Match Code Number uniquely identifies each program in the Match. This is particularly important for training sites that are offering more than one program in the Match.

Updating Your Training Site and Program Information

Once your training site is registered, you can log into the NMS Match System to update your training site or program information. This includes modifying the number of positions offered by a program in the Match, adding an additional program to your training site, withdrawing a program from the Match if you no longer intend to offer any positions in the program, modifying your contact information, or changing the Training Director for your training site.
