Requirements
In order to submit your Rank Order List(s) by the deadline for each phase of the Match, all your candidate interviews must be completed before that deadline date. Interviews may be scheduled either independently of the Match or using NMS Interview. You are reminded that, according to the Residency Agreement for participation in the Match, you may not require any commitments from candidates or make any commitments to candidates regarding offers of appointment to positions participating in the Match before the release of the Match results.
NMS Interview is a module of the NMS Match System that allows residencies to streamline and automate interview scheduling.
Residencies add their interview dates, import a list of their candidates, and send invitations online. The interview candidates self-schedule themselves into available timeslots. Both residencies and candidates see their interview dates confirmed in real-time and get access to printable interview itineraries.
Communication Guidelines
You may freely discuss any matter with an candidate and both the residency and the candidate may express a high level of interest in each other.
A residency may voluntarily inform an candidate that it intends to rank the applicant. Similarly, an candidate may voluntarily inform a residency that they intend to rank the residency. However, neither the residency nor the candidate may ask or prompt the other side for this information.
Furthermore, neither residencies nor candidates may solicit or disclose information about rank positioning. For example, it is prohibited to make statements like "I will rank you first" or "You are at the top of my list".
