Phase I of the Match

All programs must use the online Rank Order List Input and Confirmation (ROLIC) system, accessible from this web site, to submit certain information for Phase I of the Match (e.g., changes to contact information, changes to number of positions to be filled, withdrawals). Furthermore, most* programs must use the ROLIC system to submit their Rank Order Lists for Phase I of the Match. Programs with positions available but with no applicants to rank, and programs that are no longer offering positions must also use the ROLIC system to indicate they will not be submitting a list of applicants for Phase I of the Match.

(* Note: Programs that wish to submit multiple Rank Order Lists for a single program for Phase I of the Match are required to submit their Rank Order Lists to NMS on paper. For additional information, select the link below for Submit Multiple Lists for One Program. All other programs must submit their Rank Order Lists for Phase I using the ROLIC system.)

The links listed below provide important information and instructions concerning the preparation and submission of Rank Order Lists and related information for the Match, or withdrawing from the Match. You should review this information before accessing the ROLIC system for the first time.

The ROLIC system will be available for use by programs for Phase I of the Match as follows:

ROLIC System Opens For Use:	January 23, 2012
Rank Order List Deadline:	February 8, 2012 at 11:59 p.m. Eastern Time

The deadline for submitting all information for Phase I of the Match is February 8, 2012 at 11:59 p.m. Eastern Time. You are strongly advised to complete the entry and certification of the Rank Order List for each program, or withdraw a program from the Match, well before the Rank Order List deadline to avoid competing with many other Match participants accessing the ROLIC system near the deadline, when system performance may be slow.

After the Rank Order List deadline for Phase I, you will be able to view but not change the information submitted for each program for Phase I of the Match until 11:59 p.m. Eastern Time on Monday, February 27, 2012.

Programs will not be able to access the ROLIC system to submit rankings or withdrawals, or to change any other information submitted for the Match, from the Rank Order List deadline for Phase I on February 8, 2012 until the system re-opens for Phase II on March 1, 2012. Furthermore, only those programs participating in Phase II of the Match will be able to access the ROLIC system to enter or change information for Phase II, beginning on March 1, 2012 as noted below.

Phase II of the Match

Every program that is participating in Phase II of the Match must use the ROLIC system to either submit a Rank Order List or withdraw from Phase II of the Match.

For the most part, the procedures for preparing and submitting Rank Order Lists for Phase II of the Match, or withdrawing from Phase II of the Match, are essentially the same as for Phase I of the Match. The links listed in the section for Phase I above provide important information and instructions concerning the preparation and submission of Rank Order Lists or withdrawing from the Match; where there are differences between Phase I and Phase II, those differences are described in the information displayed from each link listed above. If you have not already done so, you should review that information before accessing the system to enter rankings or to withdraw a program from Phase II of the Match.

Rank Order List Deadline:	Monday, March 19, 2012 at 11:59 p.m. Eastern Time

The deadline for submitting all information for Phase II of the Match is March 19, 2012 at 11:59 p.m. Eastern Time. You are strongly advised to complete the entry and certification of the Rank Order List for each program, or withdraw a program from the Match, well before the Rank Order List deadline to avoid competing with many other Match participants accessing the system near the deadline, when system performance may be slow.

After the Rank Order List deadline for Phase II, you will be able to view but not change the information submitted for each program for Phase II of the Match until 11:59 p.m. Eastern Time on Thursday, March 29, 2012.
