Schedule of Dates
For the APPIC Internship Matching Program to function successfully, all participants must adhere to the complete Schedule of Dates below:

| August, 2012 | Internship Site Agreements for participation in the Match are sent to internship training directors, who must return their Agreements to National Matching Services Inc. |
| August, 2012 - December, 2012 | Beginning in August, applicants can register for the APPIC Match online via this web site.
Applicants must contact and apply to internship programs independently of the Match. Application deadlines for programs vary; therefore, applicants should check with programs regarding their deadline dates. |
| October 1, 2012 | By this date, a list of internship programs participating in the Match will be available for access by applicants and programs on this web site. |
| December 1, 2012 | Recommended date by which applicants should register for the Match. |
| December 31, 2012 | By this date, instructions for submitting Rank Order Lists and obtaining Match results will be available to applicants and training sites registered to participate in the Match.
For applicants who register for the Match after this date, the applicant's Director of Clinical Training must provide explicit written authorization to NMS before the registration can be accepted by NMS. |
| Monday, January 21, 2013 | Applicants and programs will be able to submit Rank Order Lists for Phase I of the Match beginning on this date. |
| Wednesday, February 6, 2013 | Phase I Rank Order List Deadline: The deadline for submission of applicant and program Rank Order Lists for Phase I of the Match will be 11:59 p.m. Eastern Time on this date. No applicant registrations for the Match can be accepted after this date. |
| Friday, February 22, 2013 | APPIC Phase I Match Day: Results of Phase I of the Match are released to applicants and training directors. Internship training directors must send letters of confirmation of the Match result for Phase I to matched applicants and their academic training directors shortly after receipt of the Match results, in accordance with APPIC Match Policies.
Unfilled Positions: The list of programs with unfilled positions in Phase I of the Match will be provided on this web site beginning at 11:00 a.m. Eastern Time on this date. These positions will be offered in Phase II of the Match. Additional positions that become available may also be offered in Phase II; information on these positions will be provided via a late-breaking news service sponsored by APPIC. No action to fill positions offered in Phase II is to be taken prior to 11:00 a.m. Eastern Time on this date. Applications to Programs: Applicants who are eligible to participate in Phase II of the Match will be able to submit applications to programs that are participating in Phase II beginning at 11:00 a.m. Eastern Time on this date. |
| Thursday, February 28, 2013 | The deadline for applicants to submit applications to programs participating in Phase II of the Match will be 11:00 a.m. Eastern Time on this date. All programs participating in Phase II of the Match must accept applications until this deadline. Programs may elect to continue accepting applications for Phase II of the Match beyond this deadline, but are not required to do so.
Programs participating in Phase II will be able to view and download applications beginning at 11:00 a.m. Eastern Time on this date. Applicants and programs that are eligible to participate in Phase II of the Match will be able to access the online system on this web site to submit Rank Order Lists and other information for Phase II beginning on this date. |
| Monday, March 18, 2013 | Phase II Rank Order List Deadline: The deadline for submission of applicant and program Rank Order Lists for Phase II of the Match will be 11:59 p.m. Eastern Time on this date. |
| Monday, March 25, 2013 | APPIC Phase II Match Day: Results of Phase II of the Match are released to applicants and training directors. Internship training directors must send letters of confirmation of the Match result for Phase II to matched applicants and their academic training directors shortly after receipt of the Match results, in accordance with APPIC Match Policies.
Available Positions: The APPIC Post-Match Vacancy Service will provide information on open positions beginning at 11:00 a.m. Eastern Time on this date. No action to fill positions remaining unfilled after Phase II is to be taken prior to 11:00 a.m. Eastern Time on this date. |
