Instructions Related to Match Results

To access a program's Match result click on the button below:

If your institution offered more than one program in the Match, the results for all programs are displayed on one page and are separated by program. For each program, matched applicants are listed in alphabetical order and the number of positions offered and filled are shown.

Each applicant who participated in the Match is being notified of his or her result in the Match by e-mail and via this web site. However, you should also contact each applicant matched to your institution as soon as possible to acknowledge the Match result. In addition, you must send a letter of confirmation of the Match result no later than February 9 to each applicant matched to your institution. Applicants must sign and return the letters by February 29, 2012.

Each applicant who was matched is now bound to accept the Match result, as stipulated in the terms of the Applicant Agreement. In the unlikely event that any applicant does not honor the Match result, please report this to either National Matching Services Inc. or one of the Sponsoring Organizations of the Match.

Programs With Available Positions

If a program at your institution did not fill all its positions, you may now make offers to any applicant who did not match to a position or to any applicant who did not participate in the Match, in order to fill any available position(s).

Unless you specifically requested otherwise, any program at your institution that did not fill all its positions has been included in the List of Programs with Available Positions that is provided to applicants and U.S. dental schools on this web site. Information on this List can be updated; you can remove any positions or programs from the List, or add positions to the List for a program that participated in the Match and now has additional positions available. Click here for instructions on updating the information for your program(s) displayed on the List of Programs with Available Positions.

Information on applicants who participated in the Match but who did not obtain a position is available on this web site. Information on unmatched applicants can be selected for display based on the type of program ranked by the applicant. You can also obtain contact information for unmatched applicants in an Excel file by requesting the file directly from the appropriate Sponsoring Organization (AAHD for GPR and AEGD programs; AAOMS for OMS programs; AAPD for PED programs; AAO for ORTHO programs; ASDA for ANES programs).
