| August, 2012 | Residency Agreements for participation in the Match are sent to residency program directors, who must return their Agreements to National Matching Services Inc. |
| October, 2012 | Beginning in October applicants can register for the Match. Prior to registering, applicants should review information accessible from the links in the About the Match section of this web site. Applicants register for the Match via the online registration portal shared by the Match and the Pharmacy Online Residency Centralized Application Service (PhORCAS). The registration portal can be accessed from the Applicant Registration page on this web site. Applicants applying to residencies that participate in PhORCAS must register for the Match before they can send applications to residencies using PhORCAS. Applicants must apply to programs independently of the Match. Application deadlines for programs vary; therefore, applicants should check with programs regarding their deadline dates. |
| November 1, 2012 | By this date, a list of programs participating in the Match will be available for access by applicants and residencies. |
| December 14, 2012 | Final date for receipt at National Matching Services Inc. of letters of agreement and fees for the early commitment of PGY2 positions to current PGY1 residents. |
| January 11, 2013 | Recommended date by which applicants should register for the Match. |
| February 8, 2013 | By this date instructions for submitting Rank Order Lists and obtaining Match results will be available to applicants and program directors registered to participate in the Match. |
| March 7, 2013 | Final date on which applicants can register to participate in the Match. |
| March 8, 2013 | Final date for submission of applicant and program Rank Order Lists. No Rank Order Lists can be accepted after this date. |
| March 22, 2013 | Results of the Match are released to applicants and program directors. No action to fill positions remaining unfilled is to be taken prior to 12:00 p.m. Eastern Time. The list of programs with unfilled positions in the Match will be provided on the Match web site beginning at 12:00 p.m. Eastern Time. Programs will be able to update this information until May 31. Applicants who do not obtain a position in the Match will be able to use PhORCAS to prepare applications beginning on March 22, and to submit applications to programs participating in PhORCAS beginning on March 25. |
| March 22, 2013 - April 21, 2013 | Program directors must send letters of confirmation of the Match result to matched applicants, who must sign and return the letters of confirmation. |
