Contents of Match Result Page
The first part of the result page shows the applicants matched to your site. If your site offered more than one program in the Match, the results for all programs are displayed on one page and are separated by program. For each program, matched applicants are listed in alphabetical order and the number of positions offered and filled are shown.
Following the list of applicants matched to each program, the result page also includes a listing of the Match result for each of the applicants ranked by your site. Applicants are listed in alphabetical order, and the training site and program to which each applicant is matched are shown. Applicants matched to your site are highlighted by an asterisk. The information in this report is confidential and is provided for your information only. You should not distribute this information, make it available to anyone outside your training site, or discuss it with your applicants.
Contacting Applicants Matched to Your Site
Each applicant who participated in the Match is being notified of his or her result in the Match by e-mail and via this web site. However, you should also contact the applicant(s) matched to your site as soon as possible to acknowledge the Match result. In addition, according to APPCN Match Policies, you must document your agreement with each matched applicant in a letter to the applicant postmarked no later than Thursday, March 11, 2010.
Each applicant who was matched is now bound to accept the Match result as stipulated in the Applicant Agreement and the APPCN Match Policies. In the unlikely event that any applicant does not honor the Match result, please report this to either National Matching Services Inc. or directly to APPCN.
Available Positions
If a program at your site did not fill all its positions, you may now make offers to any applicant who did not match to a position, or to any applicant who did not participate in the Match, in order to fill any available position(s). According to APPCN Match Policies, prior to making offers to fill open positions residency program directors must verify with applicants, to the best of their abilities, that the applicants have not previously been matched to other residency programs nor accepted other offers.
Information on applicants who participated in the Match but were not matched is available on this web site. Access to information on unmatched applicants requires entry of both the 4-digit Code Number of a program at your site and the same password/PIN that was used to enter the program's Rank Order List into the ROLIC system.
Any program at your site that did not fill all its positions has been included on the list of programs with available positions, unless you specifically requested otherwise. This list is available on this web site for the use of applicants who did not obtain a position in the Match. Please note that the list of programs with available positions displayed on this web site will not be updated.
