Program Registration

Residency programs that are members of APPCN are required to participate in the Match if they have positions available that begin in 2009. Programs that are not members of APPCN may also participate in the Match for positions beginning in 2009, provided they meet certain minimal qualifications and agree to abide by the APPCN Match Policies. Please refer to the Eligibility criteria available elsewhere on this web site.

All APPCN member programs, and non-member programs that registered for the March 2008 Match, have been sent a personalized registration package with information about the Match and instructions for registering for the Match. The package was sent to sites by email where possible, or by regular first class mail if necessary. The package includes the Residency Agreement that must be signed and returned to NMS in order to register a program for participation in the Match. Non-member programs must also submit to NMS, along with their signed Agreement, a signed Statement of Qualification (included in the registration package) and a non-refundable annual registration fee of $275 per site to register for the Match.

Non-member sites on file with NMS that did not register for the March 2008 Match have been sent information about the Match by regular first class mail, including a form that can be returned to NMS to request a full registration package for the Match.

If you would like your residency program to participate in the Match for positions beginning in 2009 but you do not have the registration package, please contact NMS and provide us with the necessary contact information for your program (name of your site, name of program director, email address, mailing address, phone, fax). NMS will then send you a personalized registration package by email.

If you have any questions concerning registering for the Match, please contact National Matching Services Inc. directly.
